Job Title: Social Media Ambassador/ Marketing
Position Reports To: CMO

Job Summary:

The SMA (Social Media Ambassador) is responsible for maintaining the agency’s profile/page within the social media space on key sites. The SMA should be knowledgeable with Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, YouTube, Twitter, blogs, category-specific sites, and more (on both a professional and personal level). The SMA should have a passion for advertising and marketing and is comfortable in the technology space. A sense of creativity coupled with research and a business skill set is required.


You are the "right candidate" if you:

Publish a blog, publish your own web pages, upload videos, audio or music you created, and write articles or stories and post them.

You comment on other blogs, post reviews and ratings, contribute to online forums, and contribute to/edit articles in a wiki.

You use RSS feeds, vote for web sites online, and add tags to web pages or photos.

You maintain a profile on a social networking site and visit similar sites.

You read blogs, listen to podcasts, watch videos from other users, read online forums, and read customer ratings and reviews.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Create/manage the agency’s profile/page/group on key social media sites.
  • Develop marketing campaigns utilizing social media to promote the agency among different segments.
  • Stay current on developments and trends in the social media space and educate clients and agency.
  • Contribute ideas for client’s social media campaigns.
  • Manage the Gráfica Shepherd social media reports; provide marketing insights and deliver reports to clients.
  • Work in conjunction with PR Director to source opportunities.
  • Assist the marketing and account teams on research as needed beyond the social media space.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Versatile Web 2.0 (3.0) user.
  • Resourceful and creative.
  • Ability to interact well with other staff members, clients, businesses.
  • Highly organized and able to meet high standards for quality and accuracy while meeting tight deadlines.

Required Credentials:

Bachelors Degree with at least 3-5 (three-five) years’ experience.
